Bafana Bafana takes on Liberia at Orlando Stadium in the Africa Nations Cup qualifiers.
The two countries have previously met twice during the 2002 Africa Nations Cup qualifiers with Bafana Bafana winning once and drawing the second match.
Bafana Bafana beat George Weah’s Liberia 2-1 on 16 December 2000 at FNB Stadium with Shaun Bartlett scoring the opening goal before Phil Masinga came off the bench to make it 2-0. Prince Daye reduced the deficit seven minutes and made it 2-1.
Six months later on June 2001, Carlos Quieroz took an experimental side to Monrovia.
Andrew Rabutla scored Bafana Bafana’s goal before Oliver Makor made it 1-1 from the penalty spot two minutes into the second half.
