Basomboli ready to take on Galaxy

Kaizer Chiefs new signing, Christian Saile Basomboli, says he is ready take on TS Galaxy in the DStv Premiership match at Mbombela Stadium.

The German-born Congolese international joined Amakhosi from Nchanga Rangers during the January transfer window and made his against Royal AM.

The forward was introduced as a second half substitute and made an immediate impact creating the second goal scored by Ashley Du Preez.

“I was very happy when I found out my documents were ready because I wanted to play for Kaizer Chiefs as soon as possible, “he tells www.kaizerchiefs.com.

“I was very pleased to be involved in the match day squad.”

“I got a good reception from the Chiefs fans. As a new player it made me feel good to hear them welcome me,” he adds.

“I like jersey number 21, it’s a good number. When the coach offered it to me, I said, ‘That’s good for me’.”

Kaizer Chiefs failed to win first three matches of the new year against Sekhukhune United, Amazulu and Mamelodi Sundowns before turning the heat on against Royal AM.

“You finish one game and then focus on giving 100% against Galaxy in the next one,” he says and encourages club fans to keep supporting the team.

“They must keep supporting and pushing us on. We’ll do the best we can to make them happy.”
