Bernado Silva extends contract with City

Bernardo Silva, has signed a new contract with Manchester City until contract June 2026.

The 29-year-old joined The Citizens in July 2017 and helped the club win the League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions Leage last season.

The creative midfielder has made 308 appearances with Manchester City winning five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, two Community Shields and the Champions League.

He has also scored 55 goals, most memorably hitting the two opening goals of the 4-0 victory over Real Madrid in the semi-final of the Champions League on the way to last season’s success.

“I’ve had six incredible years at Manchester City and I’m delighted to extend my time here,” Bernardo said.

“Winning the Treble last season was extremely special and it’s exciting to be part of a squad where there is such a hunger and passion.

“Success makes you want even more, and this Club gives me that opportunity to keep on winning.
“I love the manager, my team-mates and the fans and hope we can share even more great memories in the coming years.”

Manchester City Director of Football Txiki Begiristain added: “Bernardo has been exceptional during his time at the Etihad, so we’re delighted that he has signed a contract extension with the Club.

“His quality and technical ability is fantastic – and alongside his hard work and professionalism, he has become one of the best players in the world.
