Kaizer Chiefs fielded five debutants when they went down 1-0 to Tanzanian side, Young Africans, in a pre-season friendly.
The match played in front of a capacity 60 000 crowd at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Saturday evening, Zambian international Kennedy Musonda put Yanga ahead as he scored the game’s only goal one minute into first-half stoppage time.
Ntseki’s side will travel to Botswana, where they will play another friendly match against Township Rollers at the National stadium in Gaborone next Saturday, 29 July.
They open their 2023/24 DStv Premiership campaign against Chippa United at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban on Sunday, 6 August.
