Al Ahly coach, Marcel Koller, has come under heavy criticism following his team’s 5-2 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Caf Champions League.
The Egyptian giants have only four points after four matches and will be knocked out of the competition if they fail to pick up maximum points from the remaining two matches.
Former Egypt international, Ibrahim Salah, slammed Koller for his tactics against Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld according to Kingfut.com.
“Marcel Koller should have played with a three-man midfield in front of Mamelodi Sundowns that consisted of Aliou Dieng, Amr El-Sulya, and Hamdy Fathi,” Salah said.
“Mamelodi Sundowns is a team that plays modern European football, so Koller shouldn’t have played with this offensive way against them,” he added.
Sundowns will take on Al Hilal in Sudan while Al Ahly will travel to Cameroon for their clash against Coton Sport in match day five.
