Lebusa: Amazulu will go toe-to-toe with us

Mamelodi Sundowns take on Amazulu in the DStv Premiership after progressing to the semi-final of the Caf Champions League this past weekend.

Sundowns travel to Princess Magogo Stadium to take on Usuthu after beating Algerian side, CR Belouizdad, 2-1 [6-2 on aggregate] in the Caf Champions League quarter-final, second leg.

“The match against is going to be a tough one because Amazulu are fighting for their lives and results have not been coming their way,” said Sundowns defender Mosa Lebusa.

“But judging from their previous result [against Sekhukhune United], they got three points and they will make it as difficult as possible for us. I expect them to go toe-to-toe with us.

“At Sundowns, whenever we analyse matches, we don’t look at individuals. But Amazulu have a couple of individuals who are on good form. Their strikers have been scoring goals and as a team, they are more dangerous than individuals.”

Sundowns have won only one match since being crowned DStv Premiership champions and Lebusa admits that things have not been easy for the 16 times league champions.

“At the beginning of the season we had a goal to reach a certain number of points, the only way to do that is to win our games. But it has not been easy, it’s been a roller coaster. In this game [against Amazulu], we are still looking for maximum points and we will work hard.

“We can never relax especially at this time of the season, we have to keep our morale high and make sure that every game we play we get maximum.”
