Former Amazulu captain, Makhehleni Makhaula, has described his move to Orlando Pirates as a dream come true.
The 33-year-old player joined The Buccaneers on a one-and-a-half-year deal.
“I am so happy to have signed for one of the biggest clubs in the country. It’s a dream come true for me,” the player told Orlando Pirates website.
“I am looking forward to meeting up with my new teammates and helping the Club move towards reaching their objectives.”
“As I begin a new chapter in my career, I cannot do so without paying homage to my former club. To the entire board, the technical team, my teammates and the supporters of Usuthu, thank you all for everything you have done for me.”
In a statement released on the club website, Orlando Pirates said Amazulu were co-operative during the negotiations.
“The Club would like to thank AmaZulu management for the professional manner in how the transfer of Makhaula was handled.
Usuthu, through the leadership and guidance of Chairman Sandile Zungu, was transparent and cooperative throughout the negotiations, making the process quick and smooth for both clubs.
We would like to commend the board for their conduct and wish them all the best for the remainder of the season,” said the statement.
