Mako aiming for Caf Champions League

Orlando Pirates player, Paseka Mako, is aiming to help The Buccaneers qualify for the Caf Champions League.

The race for second is heating up between Orlando Pirates, Supersport United and Kaizer Chiefs. Second-placed Pirates are tied on 43 points with Supersport United with Kaizer Chiefs on position.

The Buccaneers beat Chippa United to jump into second spot. “We played well [against Chippa United] and I was happy with my performance,” said Mako who was voted as Man of the Match.

“We came wanting to win so that we can go to the Caf Champions League. Chippa United were playing for their lives and some of their players are playing for contracts.

“It’s difficult playing against relegation teams because they want to come out so that they can save their status. You have to put more and have positive minds.”

The Buccaneers take on Dondol Stars in the Nedbank Cup this weekend before they resume with league matches against Cape Town City.
