Al-Wahda coach, Pitso Mosimane, is optimistic ahead of the Abu Dhabi Derby against Al Jazira following a disappointing loss against Al-Bataeh.
Al-Wahda lost the opening match of the season 2-1 and his second match is against Al Jazira in the second round of the UAE Pro League.
“This match carries significant importance due to the fierce competition between the two teams in the professional era,” said Mosimane during a press conference.
“I remain optimistic despite our setback in the first round, as defeat is an integral part of football. The team is working diligently to correct the course, return to the path of victories, and achieve positive results.
“The fact that the match is away from our home ground and against a strong team with outstanding players like international Ali Mabkhout adds to the challenge.”
Al Jazira beat Al Nasr 3-1 away from home.
