Kaizer Chiefs defender, Siyabonga Ngezana, has refused to be drawn on Marumo Gallants problems ahead of the DStv Premiership clash between Amakhosi and Bahlabane Ba Ntwa.
Kaizer Chiefs are on a four-match winning streak in the league while Marumo Gallants are at the bottom of the table with six matches remaining. The Limpopo-based side have two officials currently held up in Libya as surety for unpaid debt.
“Our preparations for the match against Marumo Gallants are good and the boys are working hard at training. We are looking forward to playing against Marumo Gallants but I can’t dwell too much about their problems,” said Ngezana.
“We know that we are fighting for a good spot in the league – we are continuing with our momentum. We must keep on winning because we know that every game is a game cup final. We are preparing to get three points.”
Chiefs began their winning streak in the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates, and since then Amakhosi have beaten Richards Bay, Maritzburg United, Stellenbosch as well as Casric Stars in the Nedbank Cup. Ngezana credits the good form to a change in mindset.
“We have won five matches in a row and there is a good mood in the dressing room as a result of that.
“It’s not easy to win all the remaining matches but we will try our best especially in our home matches. But we know that they don’t come easy. Nothing has changed, it’s all about the mindset and how much you want something.”
