A Saudi Arabian businessman has won the bidding rights to meet Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi after tonight’s match between Saudi XI and Paris-Saint Germain.
New York Post reports that Mushref Al-Ghamdi, general manager of real estate group AqarOne, was the highest bidder for a “Beyond Imagination” ticket and paid $2.6 million (R44 million).
Mushref Al-Ghamdi, will attend Thursday’s match in Riyadh between Ligue 1 side PSG and Saudi XI and “will attend the winner’s ceremony after the match, enter the dressing rooms, and meet the two players who for years have vied to be the world’s greatest”.
The last time the two players came up against each other Ronaldo’s Juventus beat Barcelona 3-0 in the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League at Camp Nou with the Portuguese international converting two penalty kicks in the group stage.
