Truter speaks on getting double against Chiefs

]Sekhukhune United coach, Brandon Truter, says the win against Kaizer Chiefs is about the progress the team is making since appointment.

Truter joined Sekhukhune United in November and beat Kaizer Chiefs in his third match in charge January.

This past weekend, he completed his double over Amakhosi this season during the 1-0 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

“It’s not so much about Chiefs but [it’s] about us and the progress we are making,” Truter said.
“It’s about the puzzles that are coming nicely together. Of-course there is a lot of room for improvement. It’s another clean sheet for the defence and I’m happy that we are scoring – 1-0 at this stage can win us a game.

“We have proven it in the Cup and we have also proven it in the league. It’s about progress and the biggest progress is within the camp, player by player. The mindset as well. I have to give credit to the boys.

At this stage of this season – we are thinking about holidays and we are thinking about finishing off season and getting to the end. But the boys have been marvellous and are staying focus at this moment.”

Sekhukhune United are in the Nedbank Cup semi-final where they will take on Stellenbosch. In the league, Babina Noko are on position six on the log with four matches remaining.

“We have so much to play for in terms of the Nedbank Cup and top eight. For us, it’s about getting ready for the next test which is next week. There is concern from the technical team in terms of the amount of fatigue.

Next week we have Amazulu and midweek TS Galaxy and then a Cup game in Cape Town against Stellies. So, it’s going to be absolutely hectic for us. We lost [Roderick] Kabwe before the game against Kaizer Chiefs and Sammy [Seabi] came in and scored the goal.”
