Aymeric Laporte has joined Saudi Pro League side, Al-Nassr, from Manchester City, the two clubs announced.
According to media reports, Al-Nassr, signed the Spanish international for €27.5 million (R650 million).
Other players that have joined the Saudi Arabian side include Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Alex Telles, Seko Fofana and Otavio. The club signed Cristiano Ronaldo last season.
“We have officially signed the Spanish star Aymeric Laporte. Let’s welcome the treble champion & Spain national team defender,” the club said in an official statement.
“I am proud to have represented Manchester City over the last six seasons… I will always be a City fan and I look forward to seeing you all again,” the player said.
Laporte joined Manchester City from Athletic Bilbao during the 2017/18 January transfer window and went on to make 180 appearances for City winning five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, three League Cups and the UEFA Champions League.
