Saudi Pro League side, Al Ittihad, is making significant efforts to sign Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.
According to Sky Sports, the Saudi Arabian side had previously attempted to secure the signature of the Egyptian international earlier in the transfer window. And despite Salah’s agent stating that the player was committed to remain at Anfield, Al Ittihad remains interested in acquiring him.
Salah signed a new contract with Liverpool last season and has two years remaining on his current deal.
Liverpool are not prepared to sell their marksman but according to a Sky Sports source, Salah might be open to listening an offer.
Notably, Al Ittihad’s squad already includes players like Karim Benzema, Salah’s former Liverpool teammate Fabinho, N’Golo Kante, and former Celtic winger Jota.
However, there are indications that Jota might be leaving the club shortly after his recent £25 million transfer, which could potentially clear the way for Al Ittihad to pursue a deal for Salah.
In summary, while Al Ittihad is showing a strong interest in signing Mohamed Salah from Liverpool, the final decision rests with Liverpool, and Salah’s current commitment to the club is a factor to consider.
