Dan Malesela says he is still a paid employee of DStv Premiership side Marumo Gallants despite not reporting to work.
Marumo Gallants head coach, Malesela, as well as technical director Harris Cheou, were placed on special after a string of poor results.
Assistant coach Raymond Mdaka took over as interim head coach, with Dylan Kerr appointed as a technical advisor.
“I have not heard anything from the club since my suspension,” Malesela tells Touchline News.
“Everything I know so far is what I’ve been reading in the media. The club said they will contact me, so I’m still waiting. But I’m still a Marumo Gallants employee in a sense that I’m getting paid [my salary] but I’m not an employee that reports to work.
To be honest with you, I don’t want to trouble myself with what is going and if an opportunity to coach another club comes up, I will take it.”
Since Malesela’s departure from Gallants, the club has won four matches out of five.
