Messi offered $438 million per year by Al Hilal

Lionel Messi has been reportedly offered an annual salary of $438 million by Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al Hilal.

The Argentine’s contract with Paris Saint Germain runs out at the end of the season and is likely to leave French Ligue 1.

According to journalist, Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi Pro League has already made the bid for the World Cup winner.

“Al Hilal sent an official bid to Leo Messi; salary worth more than €400m/year,” wrote Romano on his Twitter account.

“Leo’s absolute priority is to continue in Europe. Barcelona are waiting on FFP to send bid and open talks. PSG bid, not accepted at this stage as Messi wanted sporting guarantees.”

Al Hilal were founded in 1957 and Brazil World Cup winner, Rivelino, is arguably the first super star to play for the club.

If Messi moves to Saudi Arabia, he will renew his rivalry with former Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo who is at Al Nassir.
