Nodada: We want to claim the fourth spot

Cape Town City player, Thabo Nodada, believes that the match against Kaizer Chiefs is an opportunity for City to take up some ground and claim the fourth spot on the log.

Fifth-placed Cape Town City will take on Amakhosi at FNB Stadium in the DStv Premiership and the winner will finish the season on the fourth spot.

“More than that there is pride, good finish to the season and making the supporters happy,” says Nodada. “It’s the team that is most prepared on the day that will get it and that is us.

“I’m definitely looking forward to the match and looking forward to the competition. And for us we have to go there to put our best foot forward.”

Cape Town City beat Kaizer Chiefs 2-0 earlier this season with goals coming from Darwin Gonzalez and Nathan Fasika.

“We treat each opponent and each player with respect. We are going out there to get our objectives and put our best foot forward,” adds Nodada.

“They [Chiefs] are a good bunch, they have shown it throughout the season. We are also a good bunch because we’ve shown it throughout the season.

“It should be a great match up – good football for supporters, good football for everyone. It’s two ball possession playing teams, it should be interesting.”
