In an attempt to bolster his team’s attack and secure promotion to the Saudi Arabia Pro League, Al Ahli coach Pitso Mosimane is interested in signing highly-rated Brazilian striker Marcos Amaral “Marcao” from Chinese Super League club Wuhan Three Towns.
Al-Ahli occupies position four in the Yellow League (Saudi Arabia Second Division) with 28 points after a 2-1 win against Al-Faisaly.
But the team has only scored 20 goals from 15 matches – the seven highest number goals in the league.
According to media reports in Saudi Arabia, the Brazilian striker is expected to arrive in Jeddah in the coming hours to sign his contract with Al-Ahli.
The 28-year-old forward scored 39 goals in 46 official matches in two seasons with Wuhan Three Lions FC.
