Sekhukhune United coach, Brendon Truter says there will be changes in his team’s line up when they take on Marumo Gallants in the DStv Premiership on Saturday.
Sekhukhune United won the first four matches of the new year against Marumo Gallants, Kaizer Chiefs, Stellenbosch and Swallows before losing 2-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns last weekend.
“We are going to this match on the back of a defeat and we would like to win this one – but the Derby is always a dangerous game.
Currently Marumo Gallants are like wounded tigers, they will come out fighting but for us the most important thing is to remain calm.
We are looking for a clean-sheet and looking to score a few goals. There are a few changes in our line-up and there might be a surprise.”
Relegation threatened Marumo Gallants have not won a match since beating Cape Town City 2-1 in October.
After last week’s 2-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates, the Limpopo-based side put coach Dan Malesela on special leave bring in Dylan Kerr as a special advisor.
“This is a difficult game to go into considering the log position [Marumo Gallants is in] and the fact that they have changed the technical team,” said Truter.
“It’s a guessing game in terms of the tactics they will use and what they will change. But for us, going away from home to Rustenburg to play a Limpopo derby is going to be difficult.
We would like to improve from our weaknesses and overturn the last results.”
