Zwane worried about international break

Kaizer Chiefs coach, Arthur Zwane, says international break is a contributing factor to his team losing momentum.

Amakhosi won the last three matches on the trot against against Casric Stars, Richards Bay and Orlando Pirates. This weekend they will travel to Maritzburg United before an international FIFA break.

“When we get the momentum going, there is [an international] break,” said Zwane. “If you remember just before the Pirates match, we won two matches and there was a break.

That breaks the momentum of the team and it’s the same situation now. We have won three matches on the trot and there will be another break after this one.”

“Then there is an issue of injuries. We have played nearly all the games this season without any consistent line-up. We would love to have a stable first eleven. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do that because some players were missing because of injuries and some because of unforeseen circumstances.”
