Kaizer Chiefs have dismissed reports that the club could face a FIFA transfer ban if they fail to pay Zimbabwean side, Chicken Inn $13,650, for the transfer of Teenage Hadebe.
According to media reports in Zimbabwe, FIFA has ordered Chiefs to pay $13,650 to Chicken Inn over the transfer of Teenage Hadebe to Yeni Malatyaspor or face a transfer ban.
“Kaizer Chiefs note the reports that are making rounds relating to the transfer of Teenage Hadebe,” read the club statement.
“Some news reports say: ‘Initially, indications are that Hadebe joined the Turkey club as a free agent.
However, it was unearthed that the Arthur Zwane coached-side indeed sold him, albeit for an undisclosed fee’. The Club would like to categorically dismiss the reports as flawed and misleading.”
Hadebe joined Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor in July 2019 before joining Houston Dynamo in June 2021 in the MLS where he currently plays.
